The holidays can be such a stressful time, share what you're doing to make the most
of it....?
For us we're turning on the tree every morning first thing, listening to Christmas music while trying to accomplish things around the house and get ready for the day. Taking a few minutes each day to count my Christmas blessings and looking for the beauty of each day.
We get so caught up in trying to have the perfect Christmas for our families that I think we can run ourselves ragged. Share your ideas for enjoying the holidays more and stressing out less.

As soon as I get up, if it is a stay at home day, I plug in the tree lights otherwise it is as soon as I come in the door from work. Also, plug in the outside ones so others can enjoy the display, also my dd and hubby coming home from work.
At work I have been listening to Christmas music on a station that plays it all day long. it is nice, some religious some just the standards, a nice mix.
I did my shopping in just 3 different trips so I am done! Cut down on the number of presents and the amount spent which makes me not feel regretful for spending.
At night there have been some good Christmas movies on Hallmark channel and ABC family channel. They always have a good message to them, so I get supper done, sit with a nice cup of hot Earl Gray and enjoy my tree lights!

I write lists for everything! It feels good to routinely stop and cross things off... at the end of the day, when I see so much left to be done, I can look back at this list and see that I really have accomplished a lot.
I also love stuff like Christmas music, decorating, and good Christmas movies. So despite the hub-bub... I'm really having fun.

I am trying to remember that my attitude makes all the difference!! I don't have to buy everyone on my list the perfect gift, and the house doesn't have to be decorated like the homes I see in magazines.
Dd and I sing Christmas carols throughout the day, and we talk about what she wants for Christmas. Also, we watch the shows on Hallmark, ABC Family, or ABC almost every night.

I've been writing and meditating more, especially at night. I also listen to a lot of Christmas music in the AM to get me a good mood.
