Arrow Who's going trick or treating??

We took our oldest every year till she was about 10,but haven't taken the younger 2 at all.

Ashley is to old and Katie and Jackson really can't eat the hard candy so we just don't go.

Halloween was fun when I was kid,but now,I hate to see it coming

I like all the pumpkin decorations etc..I just hate trick or treating...

    Any thoughts to share?

I took Tyler last year... only because it was his first Halloween and SIL insisted I go with her and her kids. LOL It was hot. He was dressed in a fuzzy bee outfit since its usually cold. Needless to say I took a screaming baby home after a few houses.

This year he can't really eat candy or anything. And I don't need it! Sooo... the free Zoo here has a ZooBoo for the kids. Its a couple of dollars to go and they go around to different stations and get little prizes and candy and such. Its nice and the people are all dressed up and the Zoo is lit up for Halloween. This way he gets to dress up and its easier I think.

I go every year. This year I will be minnie mouse and my sons will be mickey mouse's. LOL. This will be my oldest son's last year trick or treating as he is the old age of 10 and think's he is much too old to go!
I told him that since I make costumes every year, he could go this one last time. Last year I was the witch from the wizard of oz and they were the flying monkeys, I will sincerely hate to not be able to go out on halloween when my youngest won't want to go!

Tamara it sounds like you guys have so much fun. You've got to post pictures of you guys in your costumes.

To answer the question, yes we go.I think dh and I like it more than the kids.Hey free candy lol. When we first took dd it was to show her off(we just moved)and we all dressed up.I was wearing heals(part of my costume)and had to walk up a Georgia hill(if you've ever been to GA you know what I mean)and we went to 3 houses and drove to mil to show off dd.Put her down and ran to mil(first time walking she was 9mo old)ever since we've always gone.Definatley go this year.

We don't go trick or treating and we don't hand out candy - just our personal decision about the holiday. We do, however, participate in our church's fall festival which is held on October 31st - there's a cake walk, kids play carnival type games to win tickets and candy. The tickets are turned in for prizes (pencils, toy cars, etc.). The kids do dress up, but no scary costumes are allowed.

They don't have that here where I lvie. We are outside the city line and any kid caught trick or treating outside the city gets taken to the police station and it cost the parents $50 on the spot to get them. There are no sidewalks or street lights here.

My neighborhood isn't big into trick or treating, so we usually take the kids out with my nephew in my brother's neighborhood, or we take them to the mall where they get candy from all the stores.

I think our whole town trick or teats in my neighborhood, it is an expensive place to live on that day

Our kids will go out that night too, they have so much fun and it is a great time to meet neighbors you have never meet or don't usually see....
