Do you send Christmas cards?
I stopped sending Christmas cards last year, to save money. But I feel bad whenever I get a card from an old friend, and I don't have any to send to them!
Just wondering if anyone else has this dilemma, and how you handle it.

I do send cards. I have about 15 people that I send to. There are inexpensive cards at the dollar store that you could buy a box for a dollar. Last year I went to our local grocery store after Christmas and they had marked down their boxed cards. I bought a package of 18 for around $2 or $3. For me sending Holiday Cards marks the beginning of Holiday Season and I like to get cards in the mail they make me happy.

Every year I send less and less Christmas cards. I send about 15 to ours friends/relatives here in Holland and about 5 to my family in Canada. I do have to say though, yesterday I finally bought my Christmas cards and they were already on sale. Buy 2 get the 3rd free. I bought 2 boxes with 40 cards per box and got a box with 30 cards for free. In total I spent ...........2 euro! So I have enough cards to last me many, many years.

I do send Christmas Cards. I love to get them and I love to send them. I budget the postage every year and I send at least 50 (maybe a little more) every year.

I mail out maybe 10 to friends and family that don't live close by. I hand out cards to family and friends that live close to us and also to the people at our church. Saves me tons in postage.

Well this year I changed it up a bit, in the past I had sent out about 100 and I recieved about 20, (this went on for about 10 years). So this year I trimmed the list down to about 30....and I figure if I recieved a card from someone not on the short list I would put a card off in the post to them, (so far 5).
Good Luck with however you decide to handle it. I understand with the cost of postage so high it can be very expensive to send out a bunch of cards. Yeesh, international stamps are now 1.50 and last year they were .84
Kind Regards,

I used to when my daughter was growing up. Would send to close family & friends with photos of her so they could see how they she was growing up. Now that she is all grown up, really no need. Usually keep in touch via email. But I do enjoy the photos from friends to see how their families are growing up!

I send out photo cards to certain friends and family members. The cost of the cards themselves was $12 and postage was in the $6 range.
I send out regular cards to my Frugal Village friends and certain other friends. The cards cost me $9 and the postage was around $9.
DH gives cards to his employees and co-workers in his office. Those cards cost about $15 and no postage since they pass them out at the Christmas party.
DH and the kids give out cards and gifts to their lawn service clients. (This is a side business Dh does with the kids so they can have extra money). Each client gets a gft basket with either a nut assortment, Godiva Chocolates or Starbucks coffees. The total on this is around $50 including the cost of delivering the baskets and cards.

We always have, but this year, I'm thinking probably not. We usually do a picture card of the kids, but we just haven't gotten our butts in gear to get it all together.

I wish someone would give me permission not to send them anymore....
My life is SO busy.
Then we have a lot of holiday activities with the kids.
When I finally have down time......., I just want to be with my family and 2 very close friends.
I feel this pressure to take the pic, then do the cards....
Last year the flu caused me to send no cards and I secretly felt such a relief from that one chore LOL....
Anyone else feel its just one more thing on the holiday chore list?
I would rather sit by the fireplace and watch my kids play or watch movies with the family LOL
