Default 9 days till Christmas, what are you doing today?

I'm taking it easy . I had a major bake fest yesterday. I made a double batch of oatmeal/coconut cookies and a batch of Mrs. Field's chocolate chip cookies. Yum. Those are the best chocolate chip cookies! They are a pain though, if you have never made them. You have to grind up oatmeal to a powder.....my blender wouldn't do this very well so I got the food processor out and that made it so much easier. Anyway then I made my dressing (stuffing but we don't stuff) for Christmas dinner, as I had already made my cornbread. Now it's in the freezer with the cooked, sliced turkey breast...just waiting to be warmed in the crockpot the day of.

Gripey and I are taking the day easy today. I think we'll both walk, which I think I'll do outside. It's cold but the sun is shining and I haven't walked outside in about a week now. We're having leftover hamburger patties with something for dinner, having just had our breakfast. I think we'll snack on something healthy for lunch (yogurt for me with a piece of fruit).

Our weather is about 35 and sunny, slightly breezy. What's up for you today? How's the weather?

~For me it's 9 days til our house's birthday triple play. My son's is the 25th, followed by mine and then dd. We're keeping it low-key this year, no party. Today I'm recovering from a night out last night. DH is out shopping. I'll probably just putter around and sew. I have to make some cookies or bars for DH's lunches, too. So basically, nothing much!~

DH came home from his business trip.

I've been finishing up a poncho for my neice and a corkscrew scarf for ... I'm not sure who just yet.

I would very much like to organize the gifts I have done and make a list of what I still need to make or buy. I've been slowly consolidating my knitting items and might pull out my knitting machine to make a throw for my girlfriend.

Other than that we have been playing an online game of Lord of the Rings and he has been taking it easy.

Oh, the weather in Baltimore is rainy and 44 degrees. We didn't get the ice and freezing rain and it doesn't look like we will.

Right now I'm putting this off by playing online, but my goal for the day is to finish making all 70+ of my Christmas cards. They're about half done-- the insides are stamped and the envies are addressed. Today I have to cut paper, stamp, and assemble to front panels.

Otherwise, nothing much-- dinner in the crockpot and doing a little cleaning. It's snowy and icy outside, so we won't be going anywhere.

We are in the middle of a major snowstorm. So I am catching up on FV forums and listening to Prairie Home Companion on the radio.

Yesterday I did all my errands, wrapped all the Christmas gifts, and went to a fun holiday party last nite so was out late. So kinda nice to have a day where I am forced to stay in and relax!

DH is on a trip, so the boys and I are just hanging around the house. The boys are climbing the walls and I'm hiding in my room on the computer!

DS1 wants to decorate gingerbread cookies when DS2 takes his nap, so I'll probably make some cookie dough to put in the fridge while he's doing that.

I also hope to get my potato casserole, broccoli casserole and baked beans in the freezer for Christmas.

After the boys go to bed I'll either work on a quilt that I've been putting off or I'll wrap some gifts. Haven't decided yet.

I just got back from church. I think there were more of us in the choir than in the congregation today. We had a huge ice storm last night. I also was at a birthday party last night and didn't get home until around 1:30 am. So, when the baby gets up, the kids and I are going to make cookies for their teachers. Other than that, I plan on doing a little laundry and checking in here and relaxing!

Today I need to go grocery shopping, drop off ornaments at a friend's house, get gas, write a paper, do dishes, laundry.

Also, going to mil's for dinner--it's becoming a Sunday routine for us, kinda nice.

I have been doing laundry today....3 loads so far....1 more to go. DH and the youngest two boys went Christmas shopping for me. I keep telling them that I do not want or need anything. I have them and that is enough, but they won't listen.

I keep checking to see if my grades are posted yet on the college website. They are supposed to be submitted by 9 tonight. I am on pins and needles. My algebra class was hard!!!!! (I hate math!)

I found a new home for our beagle. I hated to see him go, but it was for the best.

I need to finish cleaning up the spare bedroom. DS#1 is flying in tomorrow for Christmas and the room is still a wreck, but looking better.
