    Default Christmas Traditions Scrapbook

Ok, here I go again with my themed books. Haven't yet done the Home one, that is coming this year, but I began my Christmas Traditions Book last night and I just love it.

I snapped photos throughout the season with this in mind.

The intro is a letter to the girls about the importance of family traditions. Then it is divided into two page spreads.

1.) Thanksmas (our weird little traditional combo of US Thanksgiving and decorating the house)
2.) Cookie baking - including our 3 favorite recipes
    3.) Crafting gifts together
    4.) Christmas Carolling
    5.) Christmas pageant at school
    6.) Christmas Eve Traditions
    7.) Christmas Day traditions

These are the things that occur year after year, so I wanted to document it as a keepsake. Anyone else do something like this?

I scrapbook and I have several....many books (LOL) that are ongoing projects. Your idea sounds wonderful. Good luck. Scrapbooking is so much fun.

What a great idea. I also find my self taking pictures around a themed scrap page I have in my mind.

Missy, I love this idea! It does seem that every family has certain traditions that they do for every holiday year after year. I know my family does. Please share some of your LO's when you get a few finished.

LOL, I know I'm guilty of taking most of my pictures with a LO in mind, and I can almost see the finished LO as I'm snapping away.

Karen, I'm so sorry. I had just read Missy's reply and put her name instead of yours. Guess I had a brain toot, LOL.

I just bought a Christmas Memory Album that's 5 years long. I'm finishing up this Christmas '07, it's going slowly since there's quite a bit of written documentation involved. I wanted to start documenting our Christmas Traditions as a couple and then if we ever have kids someday they can see what our Christmas's were like in the past. I also have gotten very nostalgic this last year after losing my grandparents. Traditions change as people pass away or new people are born into a family.
