HOliday Grand plan week #5!
For all of you newbies and regulars that haven't checked this out it is a 16 week plan to get ready for the holidays. It started Sept 1,but its not to late to start I just started 2 weeks ago. Here's the website for more info www.holidayorganizer.com
This week is the Master bath/linen week
Here's the list of to do's
Holiday Prep:
Make one batch of Holiday Goodies.
Make one extra meal for freezer again labeled HOLIDAY MEAL.
Buy two canned food items from Menus (get 2 of each item, one to use and one to donate to food drive).
Buy 1/8th of TO BUY gifts. Save all receipts, note return policy before buying. Ask for gift boxes
Wrap and label packages. If needing to ship, get some shipping boxes now and store packages in them.
Work at least 1 hour a day on homemade gifts.
Take toys and books that are outgrown, clean them up and prepare them for donation to toy drives.
Make list of toys and books that children would enjoy and that would fit in their rooms and that would work with what they have. Keep it hand for telling family what they would like.
Inventory clothing and have another list of clothing items needed. Measure the children and put measurements on this list.
Print free holiday wardrobe forms at HolidayOrganizer.Com forms library.

This is a really great plan,it gets you ready for the holidays, cleans your house and will help make a less stressful holiday time.I think that's really why I love it.

I love doing the Grand Plan too! I try to keep up with it each week, but I don't do the freezer cooking.

OH MAN! I'm falling off the wagon, hard! I totally missed the bathroom week, but my bathroom was already squared away. We need to paint, but waiting for DH to do some touch ups first. I'm not doing the freezer cooking either, but I want to put some cookie dough in the freezer. I need to work on my cards some more. I do have them. I have not started any Christmas shopping. Just don't feel like it. I hate spending the money on people that are unappreciative.

Danielle, How do you make your cookie dough that you freeze? I am curious and would love to make some to get ahead for the school parties.
My Christmas shopping is almost done. Need 2 presents for nieces. Then will focus on my own family.~*Michelle*~

Does anyone know the URL for the lady who actually started the grand plan? She use to have a website with pictures of her family and all of her kids. I think she had like 10 kids or close to it. I'd like to visit her site again but I can't find it.

Thank you Mom23boys.
The site I am referring to is a personal site. Not a big commercial site like Organized Home. The person who originally made up the grand plan had a site that talked about her family and the chores her kids do, etc.. She may have taken it down by now. I was just wondering if anyone knew the URL to that site.

You can freeze any cookie dough.... I do.... I just make a ball and put in a freezer bag...If storing for a long time... I wrap in brown grocery bags paper on top of bag.... Just thaw.... spoon on the sheet and bake......
