this is what they call phishing. One way to tell is that when you roll over the link often it says redirect to some address other than where it's supposed to go. (any time you place your mouse on a link it tells you in the bottom left hand corner of your browser where you will go if you click on that link). DO NOT reply to this!! Maybe go on yahoo's site and see if you can report it.

Definitely a scam. They are trying to 'scare' you into giving them all sorts of information. I am pretty sure you can report it to Yahoo so that they are aware this is going on.
I use the "classic" Yahoo, and I didn't get that email.

It's a scam/phishing.
I think you can forward it to spoof@yahoo.com
I have Yahoo Classic for one account and Yahoo Beta for another. You can switch between the two with just one single click. Yahoo would NEVER ask for your password...much less your username...they're Yahoo, they KNOW your username.

An easy way to spot scam e-mails like this is to watch their spelling and grammar. 99% of the time, these e-mails come from another country - therefore, their spelling and grammar will be questionable - like the phrase in the first line of that e-mail: Avoid Your Yahoo Account To Be Closed - doesn't make much sense does it?
Yahoo would never send a message asking for your username and password, let alone one so poorly written.
