Is there a database program for MACs?
I am looking for a database program for mac, I want to create my own database or program for storing information for a later business endeavour my husband and I want to go in to. I haven't found any free ones but anything similar to those for a PC would be great.
Anyone know of a free one for MAC?

My Mac came loaded with AppleWorks, and that has a database program. I had an older Mac once that had a similar program called ClarisWorks. I didn't have to buy them separately; they were already loaded.

MySQL, the ultimate free database and very powerful, has a Mac version that can be downloaded from here: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql...tml#macosx-dmg
It's often used with Apache and PHP in a combo known as MAMP (Mac, Apache, MySQL, PHP) for web setups.

You can run Open Office, the open source office suite that includes a database, on Mac OSX.

Another one for Open Office. Haven't used the database part specifically, but used the word processor, spreadsheet and presentation parts. Completely compatible with windows machines as well.

Should have looked at the date of the original posting. Likely not very relevant anymore.
