why do i keep getting so-n-so "has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled...." i keep getting these emails, but i haven't subscribed to any threads..... HELP.

When you reply to a thread you're automatically subscribed to it and you'll get those e-mails. If you use the "post reply" instead of "quick reply" I think you can turn off this setting. Otherwise go to your user cp and you can delete the threads you're subscribed to.
If you will go under your user cp and then options tab there is a box to mark yes or no to receiving email notification. You can change it there so that you do not get the email.
