Neep Help!!!!!

Okay,The pastfewwekks my desk top has been acting up, the MSN software not running right, etc. I ran  all the virus software, I was clean, un installed and re-istalled the MSn and still it didn't work right, works fine on the laptop. Last night I did a recovery back to a date before I installed the new MSN to see if that would make a difference, nope, same thing. So I made copies of all my important stuff and did a complete restore. Now here is the problem. It starts up, you see the XP screen, it goes black ,says install wasnot completed please complete! All I can do is click okay and it goes through the same exact thing over and over and over!. It didn't come with a restore cd. I tried startingin safe mode, same thing. I even borrowed my mom's 98 restore cd that didn't work either. I think I'm screwed!

Yikes! I don't have any advice, but I know that you are not alone in the troubles. My mother in law is having similar trouble. Hers didn't come with a restore disk either. She had to take it to a repair guy and it's been there a week so far. Wonder why the computers wouldn't come with a disk?
