    Unhappy Help---virus question

    My computer guru friends-

I have had the weirdest thing happening.  3 different times I have had Internet Explorer start trying to load up and it opens and opens until there are a tons of them open and I can't get them closed.  The only way to stop them is to manually turn off my computer and restart.  I use AOL so I should not even have IE loading up, I have ran a virus scan and nothing shows up.  I use Norton Virus scan and it is updated, last update was today.  This happened  a week or so ago and then did not happen again until tonight and it happened twice.  It has not done it since then.  What do you think is going on and how can I make sure it does not happen again?

Kathy, go to help desk at Norton and send them the information in regards to what is happening, how often, etc. They will first send you an e-mail saying they have received the information. Next, they will send you an e-mail telling you the virus you have and how to fix it. They are excellant at helping you if you have Norton.

it sounds like the myDoom virus. Norton will be able to tell you that.

Wish that I could help you with this. Sometimes, on my system, my "webshots" will keep loading. It only happens once in awhile. The only way that I've found to correct it is to check the webshots site to see if they can advise me. Most of the time, it's my system.
