    Default Windows XP problem

There are 5 users on this computer.  When Chris is logged in as himself, the keyboard doesn't work at all.

He did buy and install a new computer game over the weekend...was only able to play it a couple of times before it didn't work for him under his settings anymore....his brothers can play the game....

What has the child done?  Will I have to 'remove' him as a user and then put him back in?

Did he put a password in and forget what it was?

I'll ask dh if he knows what could be wrong...he's the pc junkie here...I just click the mouse...hehe

I would delete him,and put him back in.
Not sure what caused that though...

No, William is the only one that has a password...which we all know because it wasn't hard to figure out .

When in under Chris's name, it will go to his desktop.....his desktop wallpaper, his icons, his downloaded stuff......and the mouse works, you can click on anything and go to it.....but the keyboard doesn't...even the Num Lock light is off.....

Since I bought the computer and the Windows XP Home Version from Dell, I've had to email Dell to ask how to solve this problem...haven't heard back from them yet......waiting on the 'award-winning' support that's in the advertisements .

Keyboard works fine for everybody else.  The game that he bought and downloaded is Warcraft III.....game works fine under other users' settings.

I was hoping not to have to 'take him out'...he does have other games installed, which he has played and goes back to on occasion....he'd just have to reinstall under his settings....and play each game back to where they were before (?).

I took 'Christopher' out, and put 'Chris' in.....

He did install his game, and the expansion pack part also...keyboard works fine now...

Will probably never know what caused it to do that ...

    Thanks, everybody!
