Default How to pick a digital camera?

I am researching digital cameras...would love advice/instructions/recommendations on them, please!

The higher the MP, the better quality pic, right?  Can the high MP ones be used on any computer?

    Thanks in advance!

I have a Kodak Easy Share 5.0 MP DX4530. I got it over Memorial Day weekend at Walmart. It was on sale for under $300, and it came with the docking station. So far I have no complaints, and it takes nice pictures. It is easy to use, and easy to share pictures on the computer. All I have to do is sit it in the docking station, push one button, and it transfers my pictures.
I would not get less than a 3MP. I had a 1.3, and it took crappy pictues. They were fine on the computer, but if I wanted to make copies of them, they had a funky tint to them, and they were not always clear. (I thought it would be a good camera since it was an Olympius). Good luck on your search

I have a koday dx4530 and it is very easy to use. It is a 5.o mexapixals.

My suggestion is to look for a camera that will do what you want it to do, and get the biggest megapixals you can afford, the bigger the megapixals the clearer the picture will be. If you only plan to use it to email pictures you can go cheaper and a lower megapixal but if you want to print them go for the higest you can afford.

I would also look for one small and simple to use, the one I have I use like a point and shoot and it is very easy to take good pictures. It has a video but I almost never use that since you can only do it for so long and I have a video camera any ways.

I would also get the biggest memory card you can to go with the camera, I know most people take a picture (with digital cameras) look and decide to keep or not I just keep snapping pictures that way I don't miss anything and I go through them when I am all done The card I am using holds 80 high resolution pictures so plenty for an outing.

I am pretty sure you can use any camera to any computer but it could make your computer work slow but on any camera box it iwll tell you what you need to run it.

There are also the photo printers (which I wish I had) that you can just plug your camrea into with no compter needed and print out your photos..

    Good luck deciding.
