I have did a search but can't find them in the harddrive and Norton says there is no virus...

You could also try going to start, then control panel, then internet options....under the "general" tab see what it lists as your homepage...we had some "win a cruise" ad that seemed to have taken over ours as well - apparently the original pop-up had somehow taken over! Change it to your homepage of choice....

I also have AdAware - perhaps I had gotten rid of the original bug but it didn't release my homepage.....who knows!
    It certainly is frustrating though!!

I rean spybot and it found it and said it corrected it but its still there when I turn the puter back on....uuuggghhh....

Adware finds it but you have to pay to remove it....soooo I will try something else...

    thaks for the advice ladies!!

no sweetie - AdAware is free as long it's for personal use....

I could walk you through deleting your processes - I've run in to that problem before as well, but it gets a little confusing - I could call you & walk you through that one if you'd like.....
