About web picture hosting?
I want to list some stuff for sale in the newspaper. I would like to be able to offer a web address and host pictures. I'm not sure how to go about this. Would I just find a host for my pictures and then put the URL in the newspaper add? Or do I have to actually have a web address like www. whatever .com?
Years ago you could set up a free webpape on yahoo. Not sure if you still can. Can anyone recommend a free site where I can do this and it is easy?
I have two freeibie picture hosting sites available but not sure about the website.
If you can figure out what I'm asking, lol, could somebody help me please?
Thanks bunches,
Carolyn

I think you could do it either way.
You could use a photo hosting site, such as the free one Yahoo provides, and only use that "album" for the items you're selling. (I wouldn't use the same address for personal photos.) In that case, you'd have a lengthy URL to list-- something like ww w.yahoophotos.com/dolphin/forsalepics (And that's not a real address, I just made it up-- that's why there's a space in the W's!)
Here's the Yahoo link-- and the main page says that you can share photos in several ways, via email or a photo URL. That might be just what you need. http://photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos
Or, you could set up a free website somewhere just for displaying the pictures. That would probably be a shorter URL, but it might involve more time and effort to get it set up. I pay for my web space, so I don't know any good free sites, but someone else might.
Good luck!
