Angry Got OEM Windows 98 SE branded!

I just won an auction for a brand new sealed, registerable Win 98 SE OS.

However, the description forgot to mention the fact that it is branded for Dell PC's.

I haven't opened it yet. Am I going to be able to install this without a Dell PC?

I've been searching online and so far am finding that with XP they have bios locks or some such. Does this apply to Win98 SE?

I would recommend flushing Windows and using Linux.

Of course you would Gabe, but if I remember correctly, I stated that it would cause problems with hubby. He had brain surgery and there is a problem with his oxygen levels from congestive heart failure.

I put linux on there (I have the program on disk) and poor hubby is going to be lost. He can barely get windows.

I am thinking about going dual system but I need to get this windows mess straightened out first.
