    Default Computer help please..

We have 2 computers run to a router.Mine is the main and Ashley's is the 2nd. My computer will get online but hers won't. I've reset the router, unplugged everything, plugged it back up,and hers still wont come on...Does anyone know what would cause this?

Have you contacted your cable company?
We have a router too, and in order to be able to use both we have to have an extra IP address assigned to our account. We have RoadRunner and it's only an extra $5/month.

Well,we've had this for about 6 months now and until a few weeks ago,it was working. We were having trouble and I called,we fixed it,mine works and hers won't.... I should call and see what they say.

    Thanks!

You might need to setup the MAC address on the router.

Certain cable providers prefer that you buy another IP address (more revenu for them) will want you to purchase a new IP address.

But if you use a single mac address for the router the ISP will not see that you have several computers connected. They will only see one mac address.
