CallWave and CallWaveXcellerator
I've had Callwave internet answering service for about 2 years and have enjoyed it. I use dial-up and when I get a phone call, callwave lets me know and then asks me if I want to take the call or if I'm outside it takes a message. It costs me $9.99 per month but I got 6 months free when I told them I wanted to cancel because I couldn't afford it, lol.
So tonight I see they have internet booster. I checked it out and because I already have callwave I can get the browser excellerator for $4.00 a month. It is free for 7 days so I'm trying it out and YIPPEE!!! It really is 6 times faster browseing the internet! Just viewing the threads here at the Village is so much faster I can't believe it!
So altogether for internet I spend $9.95 for ISP, $9.99 for Callwave, and this would be $4.00 for the excellerator. So $24.00 for internet. Is this excessive? Cheaper than another phone line?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

I don't know what phone service you have, but you might look into DSL. I pay $14.95 for DSL and it's very fast.

I can't get DSL in my area yet. It stops about 7 streets up the road and SBC (my phone company) can't tell me how long it will take to get it to my area.

oh! That stinks. Well, maybe DSL will get to your house soon. If not, it sounds like you have a pretty good deal. I don't know about anything cheaper.
