    Default Can anyone tell me why Google.com now comes up as a Canadian site?

    I noticed it maybe 6 or 8 weeks ago. Gabe, did you re-route my Google connection? lol

    Now I have to actually type in Google.us if I want to get to Google in the US. What gives? Is Google a Canadian by birth company?

    I think they're American; they have an office in Seattle. My dh recently did a remodel there!

    It uses cookies.
    Do you have a google account? Maybe you defaulted it to google.ca instead of google.com.

    Now that you mention it, I did get a Google account when I wanted to look at that Google library business, but I don't think that was even this somputer. I think it was my old one, and I don't believe iI have logged in at all since then. I could definitely be mistaken, though.

    I'll have to look into it. It has been a while since I culled my cookies, anyway.

    Well, I keep deleting the cookies.

    I deleted the personalized search (which I don't think I actually even signed up for.)

    I deleted the cookies again.

    And Google.com keeps loading as Google.ca.

    Oh, well.

    It recognizes you. Do you check the news on google? If you do, change them back to US news. I think that might be the culprit.

    Well I just don't know how it is still recognizing me. I very occasionally check the news, but I never changed it to Canda to begin with. I also completely deleted the google account and then deleted the cookies again.

    Oh, well. If I click on the bookmark I made, I get the US site. If I type in google.com, I get the Canadian site, and subsequently the news. So my news USUALLY somes up US.

    No big deal, really. Just my curious mind needing to know why this is happening.
