    Default Paypal question

I just logged into paypal, after not logging in for years. I just saw 2 deposits in my personal bank account from paypal.
One was for .17cents another for .23 cents...any ideas where this money came from? Is there a way to find out?
Thanks to anyone who can help, I am an e-tard when it comes to paypal, and other computer stuff!

Have you signed up for an affiliate of some kind and asked that money be deposited to your PayPal? That's the only thing I can think of.

Have you ever verified your account on paypal?
PayPal does that to insure the bank account information you entered is correct, so they deposit an undetermined amount.

Log back into paypal and look for the "Verify Bank Account" link, they will ask you to write in the amount of the 2 deposits, once you do that paypal will make you a "verified member".

I agree sounds like the kind of deposit when you get verified.
They deposit small amounts to make use that is your account and then on paypal it says you are verfied.

If I recall correctly, that is how you link your bank account to your PayPal account, so you can transfer money back and forth. At some point, you may have requested to link the account as a source of funds. PayPal then makes two small deposits to ensure it really is your bank account and that you have access to it. Then you report back those two amounts to PayPal, and your account will be linked, so you can transfer money directly, rather than having to request a check from PayPal when you want to get money out.

Nope! that money is yours to keep now. Nice huh?
In the long run they get alot more than that from paypal users, so they aren't missing it.
