    Question Who knows about iPods?

DH recently got an iPod, which he had wanted for a long time.

For Father's Day, I was thinking of getting him something to go with the iPod... but I really don't know what to get. There are all kinds of accessories out there (cases, speakers, etc).

I'd also thought about getting him a gift card to one of those sites where you can download new songs, but I have no idea which site to use.

    Any suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas?

I have an iPod, but I'm no means an expert. There are all kinds of cases, it would depend on the kind that he likes and what he is going to use it for. I have one regular case, then a case that I use when I go walking that straps to my arm.

As for music, the easiest place to download music is ITunes. That is what "comes with" the iPod. You can get him a gift certificate there. I think that would be great. It is a little cheaper than buying the cd's, but it is still something like $10 or $11 to download an album and songs are .99 each.

I would definitely suggest he get a case, as they scratch very easily and the screens can break, from what I understand. I got an Ipod for mother's day. I have a clear, hard shell case and it's wonderful. Make sure the case has a clear covering for the screen.

So far I've been having fun uploading cd's to the computer to put on teh ipod and haven't purchased any songs online.

I have an iPod. I have silicone covers, they protect it very well.
One of the greatest things though, is the FM thingy (real technical term LOL). I can plug this into my lighter plug in my van, plug my iPod into it and listen to my iPod songs on my van's radio. Awesome! and relatively inexpensive. I also got an armband, clip, and "necklace" for it too.

My next accessory is going to be the set of speakers so I can plug my iPod into it. Then I'm getting rid of my stereo

I recommend getting the car adaptor as Yankeemom suggested or an Itunes gift certificate. I am also going to get the arm band so I can use my Ipod when exercising. I think the arm band is $29.99.

Keep your eyes peeled for the arm bands. I got the armband, "necklace", clip, and another silicone case for $6 on clearance at Super Walmart.

    Wink i know about ipods!

I would DEFINITELY get my music from itunes if that is what your husband uses which he has to be using.. to be able to load his ipod. You can get cheap BRAND new cases and such on the internet on ebay... Mos tis very good
If you are getting a FM plug for the car DEFINITELY get one that charges the ipod. on road trips this will pay off i paid like 50 bucks for my belkin bt you can again them WAY cheaper on ebay.
Good luck and email if you have any other questions!
    i love my ipod!!!!!

I thought all the FM plug-ins charged the iPods too?
That is definitely something to be sure it has because the iPod's battery doesn't last but 4-5 hrs in between chargings. The only downside I have found. But there are so many ways to charge it that even that's not a huge downer.
