I need help with my computer!!

Ack!!

My computer keeps telling me I don't pass validation of windows. I have the "key" that came with my software for XP. Problem is the kids destroyed the disk ages ago. It won't d/l internet explorer 7 because of the problem. It asks me to authenticate etc. and wants to d/l a verification thing onto my computer. I want to comply, but i can't go buy another operating system. Especially when the one tha'ts on my computer shoudl be fine.

If you call Microsoft they may be able to help. You will probably need the serial number on the actual computer. If you purchased XP separately, the you should have a sticker with the verification code on the computer.
