    Default Brown Sugar Fudge

Add first 4 ingredients to heavy bottomed sauce pan.

Heat stirring constantly until mixture read 238 F on candy thermometer ( soft ball stage)

Remove from heat and beat in vanilla and sifted icing sugar until all lumps are gone.

Pour into a 9" X 13" pane lined with parchment paper.

    Cool In fridge.

    Bring back to room temperature.

Lift parchment out of pan and cut to desired size with hot knife.

Oh man! That sounds so good! My absolute, most favorite food in the whole world is maple fudge with no nuts ( I love it with walnuts, but like it better without) and it is almost impossible to find it without nuts, so I have been looking for a good recipe!

I am going to have to try this one before Christmas and maybe it'll make it onto my Christmas baking list!

That sounds so yummy. Does it store at room temp or do I need to keep it in the fridge/freezer?

You can sore at room temp for about a week, the fridge for 2 to 3 weeks and freezes very well, just wrap in parchment or wax paper and tin foil. It is best eaten at room temp though, creamier, mmmmmmm..........
