    Default Mocha brownie cookies

    Preheat oven to 325F.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Beat sugars, butter, sour cream, and coffee mixture in a large bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition or until batter is light and fluffy.
Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonsful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes, or until slight imprint remains when pressed with finger. Cool 3 minutes on sheet, then transfer to rack to cool completely.

My mother has made these before, and they are delicious If I had sour cream on hand, I would make them today

Yes, it does have a few ingredients I don't tend to keep on hand: sour cream and I used instant espresso powder rather than plain instant coffee, but only because I had the powder for a different recipe.

Before I knew what these were called, I ate umm several, and I was wondering why I couldn't sleep that night. I can't believe they had that much of an effect on me, but they did

I have all the ingredients except for the instant coffee. What if I double brewed it. Or have coffee that was sitting on heat all day. Would those work just as well or wait and pick it up at the store.
