    Default Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Directions
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking
    soda, and salt; set aside.
Beat together the butter, brown sugar, and white
sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add one
egg; beat until blended into the butter mixture. Add
the remaining egg, vanilla extract, and maple
extract; beat until well blended and slightly fluffy.
Stir in the flour mixture a little at a time, mixing
just until combined. Stir in the bacon and chocolate
chips. Scoop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto
    prepared cookie sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven until edges turn golden
brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven,
and cool on a wire rack.

I just might need to try that for a holiday shock!

Do you fry the bacon really crisp?

Hmmmmmm.....have to think on this one. Interesting.

Think I would change the maple flavoring.

Wonder who created this recipe and why. Worth a try to just check out the combination1!

Yes, and crumbled. We liked the bigger chunks of bacon after we had tried them once, so the next time we did bigger pieces. I made them without the maple frosting, as well, and I missed the frosting but I think I'll make it more of a light-glaze next time instead of thicker frosting. The maple flavor can take over a bit.

I bet these will turn out tasty! I had a chance to try chocolate covered bacon last year at a fair and I could totally see the attraction except the ratio of chocolate to bacon was a bit off. This sounds a bit more reasonable.

If anyone does try these - please post a review!
