That was an amazing compilation. I loved it. The portraits were lovely and the music that the creator chose for it was perfect. I loved the Renoirs, he is one of my favorite artists. I love I really enjoyed looking to see who painted them and what era they were painted in. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thank you, thank you Gabe, you have no idea how much I love the copy of the picture in my in laws guest room. I've always wondered.... the signature was sketchy (COR..)& I just didn't know, now I do...knowledge is power. Woman with a Pearl painted by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot means bunches to me. I do so love her & look at her every time I visit. May sound weird but she means a lot to me.

Just wanted to add that I loved to see the melding of women, beautiful & strong. Soft, determined...

There was a movie made about this woman and the painter, I think it's called "girl with one pearl earing". It's an independent film, but it has Scarlett Johansen as the girl. She's the spitting image.

This is a wonderful compilation. I love how the eyes just come alive. Really beautiful.

Ah this is a different picture and painter.

The one you are referring is Girl with a Pearl Earing (Aka Mona Lisa of the North).
(different than Woman with a Pearl)

Girl with a Pearl Earring (novel), a novel by Tracy Chevalier inspired by this painting
Girl with a Pearl Earring (film), a movie based on the novel

Guess who gave me the picture I so admired all these years for my birthday....I cried & hugged them. She's in my house now and oh how she makes me smile, inside & out.

I've viewed this complilation before. Wonderful art that I never tire of viewing. Don't care too much for the modern abstract art at the end.
