Default UPromise for college?

Anybody using UPromise to help save for college? I opened an account about a year ago for my grandson and have accumulated over $46 so far. This is 'free' money that is put into the account and is based on the stores my mother and I shop at and the products purchased. It works kind of like a coupon. I know $46 isn't much but since he has 10 years to go maybe there will be enough to pay for a couple of books. Just wondering if anyone else is using UPromise and what their experience is.
