Publix, CVS and Walgreen's take them here. Yes, the cashiers check them closely, but they do take them.

I've had Food Lion compare mine to a binder w/counterfeit ones. Not had a problem, so far all have been accepted. Stores I've used them at: Bilo, CVS, Food Lion, Target & Walmart. I hope they continue to accept these.

~Don't write them off entirely! I tried using online coupons about 7 years ago and not a single store(Walmart, groceries, drug stores)would take them. They all said they'd gotten too many counterfeit coupons.
Every six months or so I'd try again and finally, 3 years ago everybody started accepting them again! It seemed that about that time the internet coupon sites switched from bar codes to digital codes. Maybe they're harder to counterfeit?
I get my coupons from reputable sources like coupons.com. If the coupons have a bar code(or digital code), expiration date and the full address of the reimburser than it isa valid coupon and they should take it.

The only store I have found that won't take them is my Riteaid, they only take ones from their site. A lot of these stores will be hurting if the coupon manufacturers do away with Sunday inserts and go to all online coupons. Online coupons have special bar codes on them to verify their legitimacy. I think a lot of these stores just don't want to bother with them period, which is ok by me, I shop where they do bother with them. They make money off of them so they only hurt themselves when they refuse to scan them.

My dh works for Hy-Vee in Iowa and they have limited their acceptance of online q's because of so much fraud, but fortunately they still accept some. One time a customer tried to pull a big scam on batteries something like $12-13 off. Are people really this stupid to think that someone won't notice something this big? It is really too bad for honest people such as us that are trying to do good with our coupons to not only help ourselves but others too.

I don't have one in front of me, but isn't there some kinda watermark on them now? I know there's something to identify them as non-counterfeit.

Walmart always takes internet coupons and they price match as well. Try going there with all your coupons and sales flyers.

One of our local stores told me that they are no longer able to accept printed coupons that do not have a "watermark" of the site they were printed on, on them. (like if you print one from smartsource you will see the words smartsource just barely visible somewhere on the coupon) I think its to cut down on the fake ones

I don't even try to use them anymore except for the occasional one from the Walgreen's online site. I handed one of those to a clerk last week and he looked at it very suspiciously. It was one of their $5 off a $25 purchase deals. However to give him the benefit of the doubt, I haven't seen him there before, so perhaps he was new and hadn't seen one yet.
