    Default Slacked off this week-Mom was sick

    I had been couponing and stockpiling hard lately. Then my Mom got sick, we thought she was having a stroke. So we took her to the ER and she was not having a stroke- but they could not figure out what was the problem. She keeps seeing flashes of lights in her head. Her Dr. couln't figure it out. The eye doctor says there is not a detached retina, but he thinks it may be her Pristiq medicine giving her a bad reaction. So we wait and see. She is going to try to wean off Pristiq

    Orthodontist(paid in full 2/09)
    Furniture paid in full 7/10

    Sorry you are going through this NewLeaf.......hope they get it figured out soon. Sometimes the side effects of meds. can be worse than the good they do!!

    Just an update on my Mom. It was a side effect from the Pristiq. She kept seeing "flashes" in her brain. Not in her eyes.....She is now weaning off of that medicine.

    It's been a bad , bad couple of weeks. Mom sick. A cousin died unexpectedly and my son had a sleepover with a kid w/ h1n1.....He hasn't gotten the flu but all 5 kids have been sick.

    Thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes. My mom is better now and off of the Pristiq. My son thankfully didn't get H1n1 but his best friend (who was at the sleepover) and his mother got it really bad. They are ok now.
    My cousin was put to rest and her Funeral Mass was beautiful. So many stood up and spoke for her. I was deeply touched.

    My older son has had troubles w/a teacher at middle school in the midst of all of this. I have been to his school at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks. I am hoping for a resolution soon.

    Thanks everyone, and I hope to get back on track soon.
