I Got Free M & Ms
My DD20 works at the local Ingles Grocery store. When she came in from work around 6:30 tonight, she informed me that the store manager had just marked down the 12 oz. bags of plain and peanut M & Ms to .50 cents. I couldn't believe it. She said they had 3 carts full! I told her I was pretty sure I had some M & M coupons. I did and they were $1.00 off 2 bags, which would make these M & Ms free. I had 5 coupons. We went to the store and got 10 bags for FREE! I'm not sure of the normal price, I didn't check, but I think they are around $3.00 a bag...

That was definitely a deal. Way to go. They would be nice for colorful holiday cookies like with the peanut butter or toll house. Congratulations !!

Thanks, NikoSan999... I was thinking about looking for some recipes to use them in... The plain M & Ms are the pink ones for October for breast cancer... but the peanut ones are multi-colored...

Very cool, but very dangerous in my household. They would never last long enough for baking.

I had the coupons from past newspaper inserts. I don't know if other Ingles has the M & Ms marked down or not. The manager at our local store just decided yesterday to try and get rid of them because they had so many. He said he will be reducing the Halloween candy soon... I guess it's just now selling... I hope you are able to get a good deal though...

That's fantastic! There are lots of fun uses for M&Ms. You could make your own trail mix or snack mix with nuts and pretzels and cereal. A great snack!
