CVS extrabucks deals?
Just wondering if anyone else here is a CVSer? I've been doing it intermittently for about a year now and it's saved me a ton on household and health/beauty items. For example, yesterday I picked up 1 pantene shampoo, 1 pantene conditioner, 2 secret deodorants, a tube of Colgate whitening and a bottle of dawn for 7.33 total including the extra bucks I spent. 3.33 in actual cash from my pocket. The original register price was somewhere over 23 bucks!
If anyone else does this, I was hoping we could share deals, and if anyone wants to learn I can try to teach what I know

I <3 CVS! It'll be interesting to see how I will be able to incorporate their deals into my $25/week challenge.

mama2James - great deals!! Our local chain pharmacy/drug stores was bought out by CVS last year, even though it still goes under the old name. I joined the CVS club because of info I got from these threads - but have mixed results.
The freebies that I get online from CVS are not recognized by our local store. Should really pursue this with their customer service department.
Your idea to share coupon ideas etc is a good one!! We need to share everything we can!! Mahalo!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Here's a couple coupon deals I used yesterday at CVS for all interested. Don't forget you need to sign up for the free CVS card.
Pantene is 2 bottles for 7 dollars. You get 2 extra bucks back that you can spend another time, so the net is 2 bottles for $5. This week's newspaper coupon insert had a coupon for $3 off two bottles so final cost is 2 bottles for $2. Not bad for pantene!
All the bottles of dawn at my local CVS are 99 cents each this week, including the hand renewal kind. There was a coupon in this week's paper for $1 off 2 bottles. Final price is 50 cents a bottle for excellent dish soap
Let me know if you use these!

Maui, calling the district manager will give you better results. My son is a shift manager for them and his district manager will do anything to keep their customers happy. You see, their bonus depends on you the cutomer being happy. He'll give you your way even if you're wrong. Once sending someone out to buy coffee from a local store because it was on sale and they did not expect to get any back in anytime soon, and this woman called him daily and gave him the what for about her rain check being unfullfilled. She got her coffee.

I checked the ads and there was nothing that was mentioned here - funny isn't it. They want to be CVS, but not really.
Mahalo Polly, next time I'm there I think I will talk with the manager and then go up from there.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I think I'll make this a challenge for 2010. Try to shop CVS deals more often.
I have a store nearby - I'm just not good with the extrabucks.
I'll try harder. I miss the Walgreen's rebates.Don't Breed or Buy While Shelter Pets Die

I just started 'CVSing' in the last month or so- we live in a rural area, so our nearest one is about 25 minutes away- but I have taken to making Sunday morning pilgrimages to Rite Aid, then onto CVS....
Tuna is .50 a can this week! limit 6
My last trip:
-2 boxes of haircolor
-2 Old Spice deoderants (I had a coupon to get a free Secret deo. on top of it, but missed it- grrr)
-3 2 liter bottles of coke
-6 cans of tuna
-3 bottles of Dawn dish soap
-1 bottle Aussie conditioner
- 1 tube toothpaste
-1 3 pack of Ivory soap
-1 CVS truck pez dispenser
- 50 ct bag of tea lights for my new holder I got for Xmas form a friend
After $5 off $15 coupon that printed on one of my past receipts, $20 ECBs, and mfg coupons, I paid.....$2.62 total for all of that! According to my receipt I saved over $50! A little irritated though- the pez dis. and tea lights were in the 50% off aisle but didn't ring up as so...didn't realize it til I got home....should have been $3.50 less!
But still, can't really complain when I got all that stuff for $2.62, plus $5 ECBs for my next trip! Really getting into this CVS stuff!
Check out 'Hot coupon World'- they have a VERY active CVS section in the forums full of some thrifty folks happy to post the great deals and help out those of us still navigating through the CVS bit.

UH.. yeah. I need too also.
(And you need to use some conections to give us heads up on deals. )
The biggest problem here (in GA) is that CVS'ers are so plentiful that there's NEVER enough product to go around. Alot of it has to do with greedy people taking more than the limit.

Posting this a bit late but some people may still be able to find these two deals their stores.
Colgate toothpaste (certain ones) are 2/$5 with 2 extrabucks back. So that's 2/$3. There are recent coupons out for $1 off colgate, if you have 2 of those, the net is 2 tubes for a buck!
Some of the CFL lightbulbs from GE energy smart are on sale for 2.99 with 2 extrabucks back, so that's 99 cents. There is a recent coupon for $1.00 of a Energy smart lightbulb. You get a free lightbulb!
