Any couponing experts that like to share out there?
Hi
im trying to coupon and shop by the sales and i really want to be able to stock pile alot with little out of pocket. I see different stories where people gets tons of stuff for hardly nothing by working the sales and coupons..i have done alright a few times but i want to really starting stocking.
is there anyone on here that is really good at this? that would be willing to share the deals they got, how they got them and where?
Thanks

You need to take the coupons and match them with the sales...
now see i get certain coupons for things i know that will go on sale in he near future... they run in circles...
Like healthy choice soup in a can is at shaws for 10 for $10 occasionally.... so i looked on ebay and found coupons for .75/2 cans and when doubled is $1.50 so that means each can will cost me .25.
Another idea is the chiwanobi yogurt goes on sale for 10 for $10 and there are $1 coupons out there making them free...
Birds eye frozen veggies.... go on sale 10 for $10 and there are coupons for .50/1 and when doubled again makes it free.
So i guess the answer is purchase these coupons with plenty of room for expiration and eventually they will go on sale....
The chinese noodles are also on sale occasionally for 10 for $10 and there are coupons out there for .50 and of course when doubled makes it free...
The chinese noodles and the soup are prepared foods and i have vowed to do much better at not eating these... however I figure i can purchase them and eat them occasionally and if i don't eat them can donate to the food cupboard....

I used to be awesome at it. Then I moved into the back woods. When I was in the suburbs, the coupons were good, and they matched the sales well enough that I could save around 75 percent consistantly.
Now, where I am, the coupons are garbage, and they never match the sales. You might get $1 off kellogs cereal. Then the store runs a promo $4 for 3 cereals. If you happen to have 3 coupons you could get 3 boxes of cereal for $.33 each. if not, if you only have 1 coupon, you still get one box of cereal for $33.
My coupon, however would say $1 off 3 boxes of Kellogs cereal. My sale would be $4 for 3 cereals, must by three. So I get 3 boxes of cereal for $3. not bad for cereal, but definitly not a grocery guru moment. That's just the way it is here.
I tell you all of this to let you know - if you want to "follow" someone, they need to be in your area - or if you are metro, someone else in a metro area. If you are back-woods - sorry

I am still a newbie. I go to a couple of websites that help me coupon match. www.hip2save.com and www.afullcup.com There are tons of these sites and you can google for them. I live in a small town and it IS harder to get those deals. I have to get my hands on every coupon I can in hopes of catching a sale. I still haven't gotten the hang of the sales cycles, but I see that there are cycles....
Let's just all help one another the best we can.Truck paid off 12/07(paid in full)

I get a local Sunday paper that usually has 2 coupon inserts,3 once in awhile but some weeks there are a few coupons and the rest is just ads. I always buy the Columbus paper because their coupons are always good. Costs 2$ but I always make my money back with coupons. I try to match coupons with the grocery ads for the week and sometimes get things free or nearly free. I HATE cutting out the coupons but love the savings!

We don't have double coupons around here, which I wish we did. I print many of my coupons off of the internet. That way I only have coupons I know I will use and the coupons you get off the net tend to be a little better than the ones you get in newspaper inserts.
Watch the store(s) sales that you shop, make note of when the things you buy regularly go on sale...then find coupons to match those items if you can.
I never buy coupons, but I do exchange coupons with others. If the Sunday newspaper coupons are very good, then I may buy more than one paper if it is worth doing so.
Exs: Pillsbury Grand Cinnamon Rolls were on sale 10/$10/get 11th free, I had coupons to get 40 cents off each tube & ended up paying $6.00 for 11 tubes. We like hamburger helper around here & it is also one of those products that runs 10/10/11. Last time I had $1.00/off 3 coupons so I ended up with 11 boxes for $7.00 which is a good savings.
some good internet sites for coupons are:
coupons.com, pillsbury.com, bettycrocker.com and if you join mypoints they have a coupon offer too which works through coupons.com. If you use the coupons within a certain amount of time you can earn points through mypoints which I love since I turn in my points for gift cards for JC Penneys."Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."
