Organizing mat.....
I came across a link on coupon organizing and LOVED this mat sorting idea....does anyone else do this? Or anything like this? I have been sorting as I clip rather then clipping and filing...it seems to cause severe migraines the back and forth. But just putting little piles all over the bed or table is still a bit confusing. I think I am gonna make one on left over felt from DS curtains and make lines with the sewing machine.

Great idea to speed up and organize the process!!

I use plastic baseball card holders in my 3 ring binder so as I clip I can put them into the correct area. I use a different sheet for each month and sort by expiration date first and then by product/ store section. If I have a lot of coupons I will separate them for the first half of the month and then the second. It takes a little longer if I have a lot of fliers to go through but when I'm at the store I can easily find what I'm looking for.

I use 3 photo albums w/500 slot in each. I organize mine by category such as, frozen foods, meats, cleaning items, pet, etc...When I clip, I do all of the medicines first and put them in the album as I clip. From there I do other H&B, Pet, cleaning items and then onto the various food categories - putting them in their respected section as I go along.

The binder just didn't work for me. I have used the shoebox method for MANY years...I use a plastic shoebox with lil folders alphabetized by catergory. Air freshners, beverages, cereal, etc. etc If I have just 1 one weeks inserts than I can just clip and file but when I have a couple of weeks to clip(I get inserts every few weeks from my mom) or have done trades etc. I clip and sort into individual piles that coincide with my files then file all at once. So for me I like this mat idea would make it go faster I think.

I love this idea! I have been getting alot of coupons lately from my Mom, the internet and the papers. I am woefully behind in sorting. I usually clip all , then put into appropriate piles then file into by binder w/baseball card holders. The mat would keep those piles in order for me.
