Smile first time getting paid to go grocery shopping

Earlier today we went on a couponing spree. When done, we received a $2.00 off next purchase at the store dealie. We had one store coupon for doubling a mfr coupon up to $3.00 left (usual limit for doubling is $0.99). The $2 was courtesy of Ziploc after buying some reusable containers for lunches. We had bought two Sunday papers since we live in between two cities and wanted to see if there were different deals. So we took the other mfr coupon and bought more Ziploc bags, cashing in the previous $2 certificate.

We also redeemed a free sample coupon that we forgot to earlier. I spent $1.86 and received yet another $2 off next shopping at the store from Ziploc. I know Greebo would be happy to explain that I didn't get paid just from the second purchasing, but it feels that way and it is a good feeling, so I'm going with it.

That's great! Not to many places around here double coupons these days, at least not the places that I tend to shop and they already have the lowest prices for my staples.

That is a great deal. I was a happy camper this weekend. Bought several boxes of cereal with coupons and all together got $12.00 off my next order. Last week I got $7.00, so $12.00 is a new record. Also ACMOORE gave you 1/2 off coupons Saturday when you made a purchase. I got two, so now I can get scrapbooking things for my Monday scrapbook club 1/2 off. This is exciting stuff

Addiction in process. Isn't it great. I view it as a tug -o-war. They try to take my money/I try to take their stuff. It's such a nice feeling to win one. What stores do you shop. Maybe I can direct you to a match up blogger??

We mostly shop at Walmart and Pricechopper, but we also have access to Wegmans. We also have access to P&C / Tops, but their flyer this week wasn't anything to even line Kemma's birdcage with, much less write home about.

Hollyhill, I wrote my OP late at night while stressed about plumbing, so I could have maybe been clearer. We started with three coupons from Pricechopper that allowed us to double mfr coupons up to $3 instead of the usual $0.99. One of the coupons we used was $1.50 off two Ziploc container units. The regular price for each unit is $3.19, so, since we could double the $1.50 coupon, this made the effective price 3.19 - 1.50 = 1.69. Then at checkout we received a $2.00 off next purchase at Pricechopper courtesy of Ziploc.

We didn't buy any other Ziploc products, so we figured that is what the discount certificate was from. Also, we only used two of our three double up to $3 coupons, so later I went back, used the $2.00 coupon I just received and another $1.50 on two Ziploc coupon with the double coupon, paid $1.86 and got another $2.00 of next purchase. So it felt like I was paid $0.14 to go back to the store.

The more appropriate way to look at it is that I was able to buy 4 Ziploc container sets for $0.69 each when the usual price is $3.19 each. But I needed a pick-me-up that night so I basked in the thought of getting paid to go grocery shopping.
