need Greebo's help with math
I forgot to hand in a free sample coupon yesterday and noted that an item was on sale for $1.00 off, sale ends 26 June. Regular price is $2.50. We went back to the store thinking to use the free coupon for another item and I noticed that the coupon expires 31 July. The item is uncooked turkey bacon, so is somewhat perishable.
I decided to hold on to the coupon in order to use it when the item returns to full price and to just buy at sale price until end of sale if we like it.
Am I thinking the right way about this?

What's a coupon?
I'm a spender.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

You will also learn soon that attempts to lure me into threads never get the desired results.

Personally, I would hold onto the coupon for when it's a regular price. I like to stock up a bit on good sales, too.

Nope. Most stores but not all stores will let you bring back coupons w/ the reciept ( w/in their specified time limit)and get your money back. I of course don't advocate driving 40 miles for a $1. but if your going back soon anyway... I would not call but go to the service desk in person. NO store will advertise they will do this. I am a crazy, stockpiling coupon lady and I do this. Last week I got 8 boxes of Maple Smart Start cereal. I love it and couldn't find it anywhere. So of course,I was out w/o my coupons (oh so rare). It was on sale 2/$5. from $4.99 each.-$1. coupons. So $1.50 a box at Rite-aid.(yes, I had 8 coupons) Well worth popping in for $8.as I was headed that way anyway.
Sharpen Your scissors blog went into this in her blog of "31 couponing tips in January" Good blog. Nice Lady.
I actually read it again. And see I didn't read it right initially. But i would buy it and freeze it because I know I would let it get by me and be mad at myself.

Nope. You are saving the same money either way. Actually that is only true if you are not going back and fourth to the store just to use the coupon.
