New to couponing - WWYD?
I've used coupons for a while, but never consistently and never as a goal. So I emailed a couple of my favorite brands and they sent me coupons I can't find online or in flyers (
).
So my question is, if it is an item you buy all the time do you pair a sale with the coupon - or do you save your coupon for when the item isn't on sale? This item rarely goes on sale, so today at the store, I decided to save my coupon for a different day, but I 'spose I'll save that money either way so does it matter? WWYD?

Unless you can double it at any given time then I tend to agree with you. Others will disagree. Guess it's a matter of opinion. To me 50 cent is 50 cents paired or unpaired. Least if as you say it's something you use and will buy anyway.
I also do sales and use the coupons at that time. All depends.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I do best at meijers. I can often double (up to 2 of the same coupon-more you split the sale) and do it on sale, also sometimes they have a mealbox coupon and spit out a catalina. Try these sites
Bargains to bounty
sharpen your scissors
bargain brianna
crazycouponchris
They pair coupons on sales and such. These sites will show you others. Also utube-supercouponing.

I pair my coupons with the BOGO sales. But of course everything you're going to buy will go on BOGO, sooooo....yep, I've used Q's on non-sale stuff that I buy regularly. Laughing Cow cheese is a good example for me. It doesn't go on BOGO but will sometimes get down to 3/$6. Even when its 2/$5 I use my Q's because I've never seen it go on BOGO. I agree with Nikko, though, you're saving money regardless no matter when you use the Q. Realistically the only way you could benefit more is getting a free item on top of it with a BOGO sale. Try stacking store Q's with Manufacturer's Q's if you haven't done that yet, and if your store issues them.

Thanks for the tips! I've had some good responses from the companies that I've emailed so I sent a couple more yesterday. It seems that a lot of the coupons I do use are for non food items so I'm trying to build up some of those to use but can never find them in the flyers so I thought I'd try the email thing.
