    Default organizing coupons

    Hi all!
    I'm fairly new to coupon-ing and have been trying various ways of organizing my coupons and haven't really come up with a good system. Does anyone have something that works well for them? I tried using one of those coupon books they sell at Dollar Store, but it's not big enough for all the coupons I print off the internet.

    Thanks for your help!

    Coupon Book

    This link to a thread about organizing coupons will lead you to two more links about organizing coupons. It's a popular hobby!

    You may find other ideas in the Household Notebooks and Home Manuals forums too. There is a lot of information in the previous threads and the title doesn't always cover the different topics discussed inside.

    Personally, I use plastic trading card pages in a 3 ring binder, 2 for the current month (18 slots) and one for each of the future 3 months that I tend to get coupons for.

    My sister went and bought those plastic sleeves that you can keep baseball cards in and she has organized all her coupons there in a small 3 ring binder. In one page she may have all beauty coupons, the next will be like all boxed groceries etc.... It seems to be working really well for her. I'm thinking of starting one myself.

    I just started to get into coupons a few months ago and I'm not a huge couponer. I hope to eventually become better at it. For now I usually use 1-4 coupons a week. So, I went to Walmart and found a small plastic photo album in the baby/wedding section. It has 36 individual slots for pictures. It is small so it fits into my purse and it was only 1.00. As I start to coupon more I will find something larger but for now this is perfect.

    I simply fold my printed ones in half- I always take the time to match up my coupons with the weekly circular specials anyways, so it's not a big deal to me, I go through them all at home before I go. As I have a LOT of coupons, I have found it is easiest for me to have 2 coupon books- one for food items and similar, one just for drugstore items, like oral care, make up, baby, hair care items etc.

    May:
    Coupon/drug store rewards:$15
    $ Spent accumulating coupons: $5.99

    YTD totals:

    Coupons/drug store rewards: $759.04
    $ spent getting coupons:$92.70
    2011 total savings:$2068.18 2010:$1066.58
