Extreme Couponing on TLC Tonight
Good Morning America was showing a snippet of a show that is supposed to be on TLC tonight about extreme couponing. People getting $5,000 worth of groceries for $241, etc. I think it's well-balanced, as it talks about the psychological issues of people who need to have 3,000 rolls of toilet paper, as well as how great the thrill might be for them. I'm going to try to find it and watch!

I hope it is worthwhile! It seems to me shows/clips about people that pay pennies on the dollar for their groceries buy a LOT of processed/boxed/canned/junk food. I will go online momentarily and look to see if it is available in my area.

05/16/11 - Down 36 lbs (total) since 12/08/10, under calorie goal almost every day, on treadmill 40 minutes 5 days a week MINIMUM.

I know one lady from another board I go to is suppose to be on the show..so I am very interested in watching it. My concern is that it will show couponers in a negative light, make it look super easy, make it look like we are greedy and give out the wrong kind of information.

TNmom...I think they are focusing on the extremity of people who can go overboard. One woman was saying how it affected her marriage because she would cancel plans with her husband in order to go shopping to take advantage of a sale that was ending, etc. I think it's in line with their Addiction shows.

Polly, do you have a friend that could record it for you or that you could go to their house and watch it? My brother has cable with all the bells and whistles. I go to his house from time to time and catch up on Weeds - LOL!
