Ahh..bet you wouldn't have had that problem at Publix I love Publix. I hate Winn Dixie. I also know for fact that Winn Dixie has only two rules (according to them) ...
Rule #1...the customer is always right
Rule #2...if in doubt refer back to rule #1

For one i think the Show is annoying. The first couple time was fine. I love the couple that donates most of it. But the lady that built a coupon room is annoying,I mean I love getting stuff for free or dirt cheap. But there is a point you can go over board.
I think honest mistakes happen in the couponing world and maybe the cashier or all the cashiers in the store were on guard or had warnings or write ups.Sad to say just until a few years ago people were using coupons for items they didnt even buy,now the register picks up on that .But the other day i had a lady in front of me that was using coupons where it says $ 1.00 off when you buy 2. She was only buying 1 and the cashier rejected at least 30 coupons. She said she was new to couponing. I don't care how new you are. When it says must Buy 2 save a $1.00 thats what you do.
I see no reason why that cashier should have given you that much of a problem other then your honest mistake of the exp date.If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
people or things.

SO TURNS OUT I WAS RIGHT!!!
Had another bad experience with WD rejecting my coupons on BOGO deals. Cashier was rude so I had enough and sent an email to corporate. I simply asked if i was able to use two coupons one BOGOs and if I could use them on meal deals with free items. YES I CAN.
The manager called me and apologized. She said to tell anyone who gives me trouble that she ( insert name here ) said I can. I feel better knowing that I was not wrong. Because if I was wrong then I apologize and intend to follow the rules.

I like Shaw's they double up too .99 and all the cashier's are polite and they will congratulate you on your savings some will make a big deal out of it .One asked me if I was watching the show Extreme Couponing my DH said no she couponing before couponing was cool.
I'm not a shelve cleaner I do not have a huge stockpile worth 20,000 but I do like to save and with this show I have seen changes at my local Walgreens 1 registrar reward a day on that 1 item you can get 3 items with different register rewards. You can only use 1 register reward on a purchase use to be you could use 10 if you wanted.I was told at Walgreens it is because of the show and Sunday's when the sales change she said you can't even find a parking spot for at least 2 hours after they open.
I also read on another site that the 3 big coupon insert companies are asking newspapers to pull inserts on Sunday nights and send them to private recycling plants so the public can go dumpster diving to get the inserts they want people to buy the paper .People are actually stealing the inserts out of the papers in the stores and off peoples lawns.
I think some major changes are on the way so I'll just keep stockpiling while I can.DH's chemo has ended and his Radiation treatments end Mon May 14 yeah...!!

Oh my gosh Scooby I certainly hope not. I wouldn't know what to do. I really detest that couponing show!! One lady is sooooo rude to her husband. I have watched it twice and both times she has been on screaming at her hubby, not to mention how much stuff she has. How can anyone ever go through that much stuff before some of it goes bad? Glad you found out you were right Ann.
Becky

i had one cashier at shaws who would complain everytime i would go through...
and i mean everytime....every time i would leave only paying a few dollars for a lot of groceries...she looked at me like i was stealing...I finally complained and told them how uncomfortable she made me...I followed the rules and only used the coupons for which it was intended on but she still always always gave me a hard time....I have noticed lately that she doesnt run a cash register anymore and only stocks the shelf...I believe that maybe there were other people who also complained....
Your right...There is no need for 100 jars of peanut butter...however i could stock up 24 so i would have enough for a year...I dont see anything wrong with that...
I am hoping shaws have the cereal deal this week....10 for $20 and you instantly get a $10 savings which makes the cereal $1 a box...i have coupons for .50 off which when doubled will make the first 6 free...will have to pay $4.00 for 10 b0xes 0f cereal.....well worth it...we are a family of four...and oldest son is now starting out on his own...so i figure i will do the deal 3 times totaling 30 boxes of cereal...which will last us 6-8 months...I don't think that this is wrong....am i correct or am i over doing it....nice to have another perspective on things...

The cashiers act like it is too much work & do not like it when you call them on it or the stores policy. The show makes it look excessive but that is their own place to judge. I saw a video were one woman made a $10000 dollar donation to her local food bank. That was a lot of money and heart. Hard work.
