    Default Call companies for coupons

Just a reminder...a great way to get tons of REALLY good coupons is to call the companies whose products you purchase. Most packages have 1-800 numbers to call for questions/complaints, and they almost always send you coupons for calling and for being a loyal customer.

I have gotten really great coupons this way. Star-Kist tuna sent me 8 coupons, all of which were for FREE products. Unilever (think Hellmanns, Ragu, Lipton, etc.) sends out a booklet of about 20 coupons for calling. Bottom line, if there are products you love (or if you have a problem with something), let the company know. They will reward you for it.

Thanks for the reminder. I have some favorite brands that I will call and compliment the company and maybe I can get some coupons.

I have done this several times. Purina is wonderful. They will let me call for coupons every 4 weeks, and send $2 off coupons. It might be because I have so many dogs and cats though.

Yep. I e-mailed Coke because a 12 pk I got of Coke Zero would go flat within the first 5 minutes of opening the can. All at once, uber fizz then flat. Got a free 12 pk coupon in the mail!

I call companies all the time w/questions & suggestions, also if I like a product I let them know, same thing if I've got a problem w/a product...then usually I get FREE PRODUCT replacement coupons.

There's a few ingredients I can't really eat because of migraines, stomach aches.

    MSG
    Carageenan
    Aspartame

Most of the beef gravies I buy for DH contains MSG but the fat/free Heinz one doesn't, I think Boston Market's also.

I called up a company about soy milk I use to make smoothies with asking them why some of there products have carageenan & a few others don't? It can be confusing & reading the label everytime in the store takes a long time...Especially shopping w/my impatient DH !

I called up IAMS about dog food I bought a bag & there was no expiration date on it & it was a 30 - 40 lb bag w/a free container (hot pink) I think it was Eukanuba well after dumping the bag into the storage container I noticed it had bugs in it (yeah more protein as the one person said..it's really harmless! Also kinda gross eating bugs not my type of diet eating them. I wouldn't want my girlz eating them either. They sent me a coupon to replace the bag & a few other coupons for the new gravy that wasn't available yet but it was a FREE coupon for a full size bottle.

I called a company asking to be put on there mailing list for coupons, etc. & they said they didn't have one...this was a few years ago before the INTERNET was available. I don't remember which one this was.

Lots of companies are surprised w/comments instead of complaints.
