Really? I will have to check this out...Only problem is the price of a bottle of teriyaki sauce equal to a bag of brown sugar is pretty much the same, lol.

Ashley-thats all too much work. Go to Kroger and get Lawrys Teriyaki marinade or Sesame ginger marinade. The coupon this week is .50 doubled. The sale is $1.29 so .29 a bottle. Make rice, set aside. Fry veg in light oil drain. Put back in pan w/ pre-cooked meat strips, veg and pour in sauce. WE use a can of water chestnuts, carrots, broccoli, baby corn, and add pineapple after it's cooked. My dh is a picky baby too,but he has to pick out what doesn't like. By the way-they have frozen stir fry veg in the freezer section.

lol Dear? Silly girl I am over 2x your age. Sorry didn't know your Krogerless and Meijerless too. Yikes.
Big lots carries brown sugar, pinapple, water chestnut and some stir fry sauces. Once in awhile they have canned baby corn and bean sprouts. I also like almonds in mine. Add last w/ pineapple. Dear. HEEEE.

    These are all wonderful suggestions/advises.
I like to heat the oil with one of these: a few slices of ginger, garlic, shallot, the white part of green onion; then add meat or veg.

In regards to pineapple, this might be off the topic, maybe your DH is allergic to it. I know I am, any food that touches pineapple (especially fresh ones), such as fruit salad, I don't want to eat. My allergic reaction is not life or death, just very painful burnt sensation in my mouth (gum & tongue) which lasts for 30 mins to a few hours; very uncomfortable.

Has anyone mentioned that it's better if you use old rice. As in rice that's already been cooked, put in the frig and chilled? That's the best way for stir fry rice that I've found. Otherwise it ends up gummy when you're done.
