    Default Pizza Rice

Combine rice, sauce, water, mushrooms, adn pepperoni. Stir.
Cover. Cook on LOW 10 hours or HIGH 6 hours.Sprinkle with cheese before serving.

Since we don't eat pork, we use turkey pepperoni, found where other sliced pepperoni is sold.
We use mozzarella chees, usually, but I use whatever is on hand

This sounds declicious! I wonder if you could put uncooked chicken on top of this and let it cook with it?

I don't know if that would work or not...I wouldn't be to thrilled with chicken on my pizza, but then, I'm not very adventurous, either. LOL.

Just a FYI ~ Made this for dinner today and my picky family really liked it.. Son gave ideas for future making ~ sausage, nothing veggie (not gonna happen), make a 3 meat ~ sausage, hamburger, pepperoni..

At least is my crockpot going 10 hrs on low was to long..

This sounds like something my family would enjoy. Thanks for posting the recipe!

I'm trying it today with brown rice and sausage. (not the minute or quick cooking kind, just plain ol brown rice)

I'm also using spaghetti sauce instead of pizza sauce.

Amy D, please let us know how yours turns out because those are probably the substitutions that I would use too. My crockpot cooks super fast so I would probably only let it cook for 6 hours at the most.

I gotta try this one. I also need to look up more crockpot rice recipes. I have way too much rice and hate waiting for the steamer when I get home from work. (yes, I'm impatient)

Try making it in the microwave. The instructions should be on the package.

Cooked rice freezes well, and then it's ready when you need it after nuking it a couple minutes to thaw it so it can be broken up.
