    Default Sweet and Sour Brisket

    Ingredients:
1 (32 ounce) jar sauerkraut, partly drained
    5 lbs beef brisket
1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, peeled
1 (16 ounce) box dark brown sugar

    Directions:
    Prep Time: 5 mins
    Total Time: 3 1/4 hrs
    1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2 Put brisket in a baking pan.
3 Pour the sauerkraut over the brisket.
4 Add the tomatoes with their liquid.
    5 Sprinkle with brown sugar.
6 Cover with foil and bake for 3 hours.

Personal Comments: I cooked mine in the crockpot. Also, I used a canned of diced tomatoes and about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar (all I had left) and served it over rice.

Sounds like something DH will love. Anything with meat and sauerkraut.

Honestly I was a bit leery of it, but I've had an inexplicable craving for sauerkraut this pregnancy. I'd see it on FoodNetwork and salivate! I got a jar and used some for hot dogs and the rest for this.
