Debt free
This morning I sent off my final check to my truck payment, it's also my final debt.
I have been following the DR method of paying down debt for the last 18 months and today, I am debt free!
I've paid off $29K in debt in the past 18 months, hurray!
Now I will shift my focus to a fully funded emergency fund, I've already got $3K of the $10K I will need for a 6+ month EF.
For those of you that are still working the plan or even just now starting stick with it, you can do it.

Or in other words - that's like, pretty awesome! If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

music from Braveheart! freeeeeeeedommmmmmm!
11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown
