Talking DR's "Financial Peace" CDs came today...

I'm listening to the first one right now. It's hilarious. I don't know if I'll be able to get DH to listen or not. He's not an auditory learner. But it is something we can do together. Have to think about this.

Hope you can get him to sit down and listen (and laugh!) with you! Enjoy!

Are these the FPU cd's, or is this from his book, "Financial Peace" ?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

It's "Financial Peace University audio CD library". Sounds like the book on CD. Still, I think it'll be good to listen to. DH has agreed to listen with me some. But he claims all these Financial Gurus say the same thing - "Spend less than you make, save and invest the rest". He figures that's all he needs to know. Sigh...

Well he listened with me to the first one last night. He admitted DR was an entertaining speaker. He suggested we could cut spending a little more he thought (of course). He was prepared to work on a budget right away, but I want him to listen to that particular CD first. Not jump the gun. I showed him the "Financial Peace Planner" I have out from the library too...just to give him an idea of the paperwork involved in things. And to point out DR's approach of having goals each week for spiritual, relational, mental and physical. I'm not sure the latter stuck with him, but maybe it will if I suggest we work through the Planner together too.

This is big movement on DH's part.
