disrespectful to DH or good idea?

I know this might sound rather blunt, but how about sitting him down and saying flat out: "honey, I need you to make a decision on Issue X, by Deadline Y." Explain, briefly, why you feel the issue is important enough to require such a "snap" decision on his part.

Then again, my husband has always been responsive to an extremely straightforward approach.

Well im gonna buck the system here and say go buy the insulation and dont worry about what he as to say! if my dh and i have talked about it and the money is there he knows im gonna go buy it if it is needed. So i would say you need to do what you need to do for the health of your kids!!!
