We did it!
We got through Christmas without the credit card for the first time ever!!! Woo-hoo! So, it CAN be done!
Who knew? We put the snowball on hold to do it, but hey, better that than adding new debt, right? Now we can really concentrate on that snowball. Yay!

Congrats! That is such a huge deal, be sure to pat yourself on the back! Dh and I have been completely credit card free for a few years and there is nothing more freeing than getting through times without them!
Good luck on getting them all paid off! That day will remain in your memory forever!
Congrats again!

Awesome! Congratulations...I know how great we felt when we started doing this. The first Christmas was the hardest. It gets easier every year!

Way to go!! I think it is great that you didn't have to add any new debt even if it meant stopping the snowball for a month. Just start over in January where you left off. :high5:

That is absolutely fantastic!!! Way to go! Cash. IS. KING!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Congratulations!! This Christmas was credit card free for me as well. I also plan on keeping it that way. There is nothing more satisfying than opening the credit card bill in January and not seeing anything added to it from December!!! Yippee!!
Good luck frugalbabe on your challenge too!Dh Bob

This is the first Christmas I had with no credit cards. Guess what we still had Christmas!! My son said I think what we had this year was a "normal" Christmas. We are all doing so good. This is the first of many no new debt Christmas's.
