To a degree, I agree with you. However, Dave does explain his reasoning too. Mainly, he reasons, kids aren't all that expensive (ie: they do not have to be) and having kids isn't likely to be the primary reason why they have tons of CC debt and two upside down cars.
That said, since this is your first post on this forum, and you've gone out of your way to sign up specifically to post a "Dave Ramsey is wrong" post, I have to wonder whether this may apply:
I look forward to you demonstrating why it doesn't.Last edited by Greebo; 03-27-2009 at 11:33 AM.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Yeah, especially the whole sex and child rearing aspects. Wait, what?
Marriages have a business aspect to them. Marriages are not a business.
Assumption. How do you know how much he knows about divorce law? Having heard him speak on the subject before, I believe your assumption is incorrect. One does not need to have been divorced to know about the law concerning it any more than one needs to have been burned in a fire to know that it'll hurt.He has never been divorced and has very limited knowledge of how divorce law works, which is in some ways very similar to how BUSINESS LAW WORKS !
As far as I can tell, the only point to the entire remainder of your post is to spew vitriolic filth, wishing *ill* on someone who helps thousands of people.Due to Dave's religious background and beliefs, he has a serious blind spot in regards to this issue. I keep hoping someday his wife will simply walk away with the pool boy and 1/2 Dave's assets plus alimony for the rest of her life. I'm sure he would revise his program's but fast....
Thanks for proving me right in post one.
Do not feed the troll. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

( Actually, she wouldn't walk away, she would stay home and throw him out of the house he bought and paid for, and sleep with the pool boy in the same bed he bought )If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
