So excited, I'm speechless! LOL
And it takes a lot to get me speechless! Hee, hee!
I have a spreadsheet going to track how much we still needed for a down payment on our next house, with different lines based on how much we offer on a house. We've gotten 2 of our 4 tax refunds so far (had to amend last year's, hence the extra 2), and I have enough for the 2 lowest of the possible offers plus $500 in moving expenses to pay CASH! By the time we get the last 2 refunds, we will have all 4 possibilities ready to go, with the moving expenses. Plus extra to pay off our credit card and possibly start paying off something else or saving for something else (depending on how much we offer on a house). It is so GREAT to see this whole plan actually coming together and knowing what we will use every penny for BEFORE we get the money in our hands. I am just staring at this spreadsheet in awe, wondering what I might have missed because it seems too good to be true. LOL My husband is going to look at it with me tonight to make sure this really is real.
Now to get this house sold....BTW, speaking of that, thanks for all the advice and encouragement! It really got us thinking about what we could do if we are stuck here for quite a bit longer. We are thinking about moving all the kids (including new baby) down to our bedroom and moving our bedroom up to theirs. That way, we can get a bunk bed for the older 2 so our 6yo can finally get out of the toddler bed. Then we are thinking of moving our desks/computers downstairs to the dining room (it's far from the kitchen anyway) and calling it a den/office. We wanted to check with the realtor to make sure doing this won't hinder the sale at all. I haven't heard back from her yet, though, so will email her later this weekend if I still haven't gotten a reply. At least things are looking up!

Sara, I'm so glad things are going well for you! Isn't it wonderful when holding off and biding your time results in such incredible possibilities. I hope that moving things around in your home makes for better living while you're there! Best of luck!
