I also have a question. If you have all those pets, where is their food/care category? We have 4 fish (so far), 2 cats, a guinea pig (soon to get 1 more plus bigger cage and more supplies), and soon will be getting 3 gerbils, as well. We have a rather large pet supply category...

Oh, and what about TP, cleaning supplies, misc. household supplies, stamps, etc.? Is that included in your grocery category? Mine is, and for 6 people we average around $700 or so a month. That's including an infant on formula, btw. So without that, it'd be more like $600.

I use angel food ministries to help keep food cost down. Some months they have a lot of processes food, other months they don't. We went over a good bit last month, our first same page budget. DH bought a lot of things we didn’t need. This month I upped the grocery money a little to include stuff to make some sweets at home. Cheaper and easier to limit.

Pet stuff, TP, cleaning supplies, misc. household supplies, pull-ups and etc are included in Toiletries. We buy the cheapest cat and dog food the store carries. We only have a few fish so one thing of food last months. I don't wear make-up or use hair spray/gels. Last month I didn't have a problem keeping separate but DH bought a mix of Toiletries/groceries last night.

We have 2 dogs, 10 cats, and a few fish.

    Line item missing: Income
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
